Be a little delusional
Sometimes it's best not to listen to others.
July 31, 2026
A common theme I’ve noticed in my own life, from seeing other people’s posts, and talking to others, is that sometimes in life you have to be delusional.
It’s very common to have others tell you something like:
“Oh no one will buy that.”
“Are you sure that’s a good idea?”
“No one’s ever done that before.”
I’ve heard the above and many different variations of it throughout my life. Many of them do feel like they’re doing it out of the goodness of their own heart to “save you”.
But you have to ignore them. You have to be a little delusional. You have to be almost certain in your own belief that it will work.
And to be fully transparent, most of the time things don’t work out. But it all it takes is one time for it to work. Once you nail it the first time, it’s so much easier to do it next time.
